Are you interested in becoming a Vehicle Body Repairer?
As a vehicle body repairer, your work will involve repairing damage to the bodywork of cars, trucks and coaches, ranging from scratches, dents and rust to major accident damage. This may involve hammering out dents or filling with body solder or plastic fillers.
Clarke Bros Bandon Ltd are looking to hire an apprentice Vehicle Body Repairer. This is an opportunity to join an exciting, dynamic and fast-paced Industry.
The overall duration of this apprenticeship is a minimum of 4 years provided all 7 phases are successfully completed. On successful completion of the programme, the learner is awarded a Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Vehicle Body Repairs. Although the minimum educational requirements for an apprenticeship are Grade D in five subjects in the Department of Educational & Skills Junior Certificate Examination or approved equivalent – some employers may require applicants to have successfully completed their education to Leaving Certificate level.
It should also be noted that while not essential, it may be an advantage to have previous experience of the following subjects: Mathematics, Technical Drawing/Graphics, Metalwork, Technology and Physics.
